LAURENCE RIGG

DANCE WITHOUT LIMITS

Upon graduating with honours from The Royal Ballet School, Lawrence Rigg joined The Zurich Ballet under the direction of Heinz Spoerli. At the age of 21 he joined Ballet du Capitole in Toulouse as a demi-soloist and performed in pieces by choreographers such as Jiri Kylian, George Balanchine and Peter Martins. Following this he went on to dance with Victor Ullate Ballet in Madrid before joining Béjart Ballet Lausanne in 2010. Since joining the company he has performed all over the world and danced major roles in the repertoire of Maurice Béjart such as Le Mandarin Merveilleux, Cantate 51 and The Ninth Symphony. He has also participated in the creations of director Gil Roman, Alonzo King and Giorgio Madia among others. Since 2019 he has begun teaching in both schools and companies.
