Born in Sicily, Gaetano Vestris Terrana began his ballet studies with Sabrina di Lecce at the Centro Studi Danza Eidos in Reggio Emilia, Italy. In 2009 he joined the Ballettschule Theater Basel where he graduated under the direction of Amanda Bennett. He also studied at Steps on Broadway in New York with Willy Burmann and in Copenhagen with the Danish masters Linda Hindberg, Mogens Boesen and Nikolaj Hübbe of the Royal Danish Ballet. In 2013 he became one of the youngest members of Richard Wherlock’s Ballett Basel. Since 2016, he has been a soloist at the Hessisches Staatsballett directed by Tim Plegge. He has worked with choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Wayne McGregor, Alexander Ekman, Itamar Serrussi, Alejandro Cerrudo, Bryan Arias and Itzik Galili.
